Generate Upcycle London Anaerobic Digester & Biogas Plant

Generate Upcycle owns and operates a commercial anaerobic digester (AD) and biogas plant in London, ON, that produces RNG from municipal SSO and ICI organics. The London AD plant processes organic waste from some of Ontario’s largest municipalities. The plant can process up to 225,000 tonnes of organic waste per year from small distributors, food processors, and large manufacturers, and produce 832,000 GJ of RNG. The plant produces a liquid digestate that is a Canadian Food Inspection Agency-registered organic fertilizer and used on local Southwestern Ontario farms.

This tour will consist of a two-and-a-half hour coach ride to the facility from Toronto, and a two hour tour of the biogas plant. The tour will leave from the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto at 9 am, returning to the same location at 4:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. All attendees should dress appropriately for the weather. PPE will be provided onsite, however steel toe boots are highly recommended.

Spaces on the tour will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the Tour is $150 + GST.
