2023 Value of Biogas East Conference Biogas & RNG Tour

The CBA is offering facility tours to compliment the 2023 Value of Biogas East Conference. Please purchase your tickets here to attend the tours. Note that space is limited.

Please note that steel toe boots are required for the tour.  To attend the tour, you must have your own pair of steel toe boots.

The City of Toronto’s Dufferin Organics Processing Facility (DOPF) was recently expanded to accept up to 55,000 tonnes per year of source separated organics (SSO) and convert it into renewable natural gas (RNG), organic digestate fertilizer, and clean water for process reuse. The SSO feedstock that is received at the DOPF makes up about 35% of the waste collected by the city’s Green Bin program and consists of kitchen scraps, diapers, soiled paper and packaging, and more. 

Buses for the Tour will leave the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre (525 Bay Street, Toronto ON) at 12:30 pm, returning at 4:30 pm. Spaces on the tour will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the Tour is $75 + HST. Registration does not include lunch, please eat lunch beforehand, but will include bus transportation to and from the facilities and light refreshments.
